SPP2330 has successfully started with the first Kick-Off Meeting in October 2021 in Rösrath.

The members and associated scientists discussed their future scientific projects in the field of virus-host interactions in prokaryotes in an interactive environment of outstanding scientific quality. In addition, further funding and training opportunities for young scientists and students were explained. Another highlight was the presentation of the DSMZ’s service project, which includes the long-term conservation, quality control and provision of new isolated phages and the associated data. This first meeting laid the foundation for a successful start of this priority programme.
